A native of Rhode Island, Dr. Longobardi graduated from the University of Southern California in 1984 with a B.A. in Chemistry. He received is Medical Degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York in 1991. He subsequently completed a 3 year Internal Medicine Residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He then pursued a Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the Combined Program in Cardiovascular Diseases at Brown University, completing the 3 year program in 1997. He has been in private practice in Cardiology since 1997.

Dr. Longobardi is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has been certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine since 1994 and Cardiovascular Disease since 1997. He also has received certifications in cardiac and vascular sonography. He is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography and Lee County Medical Society.

His interests include noninvasive ultrasound in the diagnosis of Cardiac and vascular diseases as well as diagnostic and consultative cardiology.
