Florida Heart Associates Echocardiography Lab has been accredited with the IAC (Intersocial Accreditation Commission-Echocardiography) since 1997.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCEDURE:
An ultrasound image, also known as an echocardiogram, is taken of your heart using a small probe with ultrasound gel.
You will be asked to lie on your left side or on your back with your head slightly raised.
All our images are digital and are stored and viewed via our PACS system. The images are interpreted by one of our Board Certified Cardiologists.
PROCEDURES:
Echocardiograms utilizing state-of-the-art Siemens Ultrasound machines. We are fully accredited by ICAEL (the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories).
WHEN/WHERE FOR APPOINTMENTS:
Echocardiography appointments are available Monday-Friday at both the Fort Myers and Cape Coral Offices
The test takes about 30 – 45 minutes.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Prefer a top/shirt that can be removed easily.
HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED IN THE ROOM DURING THE TEST?
Up to two (2) people comfortably.
