David J. O. Bailey, MD, MRCPI, FACP, FACC, FSCAI was born in London, United Kingdom. He received an intercalated Bachelor of Science degree from the University of London in 1988. He was awarded his medical degree from the University of London in 1991.
After practicing Internal Medicine in London and the southeast of England between 1991 and 1997, he moved to the USA. He completed his Residency and Chief Residency between 1997 and 2000 at Yale University School of Medicine/Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut. He subsequently completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Brown Medical School/The Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island in 2003. He remained within the Ivy League system, completing an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Brown Medical School/The Miriam Hospital in 2004.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Member of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI). He is also a Fellow of the Society of Coronary Angiographers and Interventionalists.
