BALA KARAN, MD, FACC

Dr. Bala Prabakaran (Dr. Karan) received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1975 from the Madras Medical College, University of Madras, India. He completed his post graduation in Internal Medicine at General Hospital, University of Madras, India. Dr. Karan completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology fellowship at the New York Medical College, New York.

Dr. Karan is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Lee County Medical Society, and the General Medical Council of England. Dr. Karan has received Physician Recognition Awards from the American Medical Association. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty in cardiovascular disease.
